Product Descirption
It is to be used as a connection cable for reeling purposes for very high mechanical loads on movable appliances, mobile line carriers, cable carriages as well as for vertical drum operation. It is also applicable for the scope of DIN VDE 0168 and 0118, for underground and open-cast mines.
Technical Data
Temperature range:
• During application with bending: -25 °C up to +60 °C
• Fixed installed: -40 °C up to +80 °C
• At short circuit of max. 5 s: up to 200 °C
Nominal voltage: U0 /U = 0,6/1 kV
Test voltage: 2500 V
Maximal permitted voltage:
• In AC installations: U0 /U = 0,7/1,2 kV
• In DC installations: U0 /U = 0,9/1,8 kV Specific el. resistance of insulation: min. 10 MΩ x km
Maximal tensile strength:
• Static: 15 N/mm2
• Dynamic: 30 N/mm2
Conveyor speed : up to 120 m/min
Other characteristics:
• Resistance to oil, moisture, water, UV-irradiation, ozone, solvents, greases, alkali, gasoline, weather conditions
Behaviour in fire: Flame retardant (self-extinguishing) cable acc. to IEC 60332-1 / EN 60332-1 (earlier EN 50265-2-1) / VDE 0482-332-1 (earlier VDE 0482-265-2-1, also DIN VDE 0472 part 804 test method B)
Construction
1. Conductor: tinned copper conductor, fine wired stranded, class 5 acc. to IEC 60228 / HD 383 / DIN VDE 0295
2. Insulation: rubber compound on ethylene-propylene basis (EPM, earlier: EPR), i.e. 3GI3 or GI1 acc. to DIN VDE 0207 part 20
• Concentrically stranded cores in layers
3. Insulated: steel suspension core could also be laid in the cable center to prevent cable elongation
4. Core layers could be wrapped with tape
5. Inner sheath: rubber compound on poly-chloroprene basis (CR), i.e. 5GM3 acc. to DIN VDE 0207 part 21
6. Textile braid: fitted in inner or external sheath to prevent cable torsion 7. Sheath: rubber compound on poly-chloroprene basis (CR) (= Neoprene), i.e. 5GM2 or 5GM3 acc. to DIN VDE 0207 part 21.
7. Sheath colour: black Core colour marking: acc. to HRN HD 308 S2 / VDE 0293-308
